Small flakes but lots of them! Getting a good covering, will be happy if this keeps up for a few hours as we should have a couple of cm. First time since 2010 that we've got new snow on top of old snow! If we get some more snow tomorrow then I'd have to go back to the mid 80's for the last snow on top of snow on top of snow! good.gif

Yeh a little bit... What baffels me is it is moving East to West..

I think the winds here are noreasters - ideal as they are forcing the system west into

London and into locations in the west of our region. Proper snow on snow event now here - all gaps on the path are white!

Much bigger flakes now, the great thing is there are zillions of the buggers, the depth is growing at a faster rate than even i was thinking.

This is definately not coming in as planned (Angle of attack) an places much further west are going to have a nice surprise I feel from this event, no block out west so no stopping it in its tracks like Friday!

But as Alpine says above great forecast to even get the band into the Uk from its position last night!

The fact this snow is powdery means that it's not marginal and we should get a good rain to snow ratio. If the system is moving further west than expected that means the heavier snow will be further inland.
