Alpine looking snow here....not our usual wet 50p flakes....

I was thinking that :) It seems different. Quite light here but fast and plentiful ~ so pretty against the thick green trees.

2-4cm the weathermen said? looking like 15-20 across the entire SE region as far out as M3 regions with some lucky places in the east hitting 30cm judging by this radar

Quite a large area of snowfall already showing on the Radar-it`s started here in Warks.-just light stuff at the moment- about an hour ago so maybe expanding more than first thought.

Anyway good luck to you all down there-it`s great that you are now in the firing line for some.

Much bigger flakes now, the great thing is there are zillions of the buggers, the depth is growing at a faster rate than even i was thinking.

This is definately not coming in as planned (Angle of attack) an places much further west are going to have a nice surprise I feel from this event, no block out west so no stopping it in its tracks like Friday!

But as Alpine says above great forecast to even get the band into the Uk from its position last night!

Paul - well said. Full marks to the Office and the BBC for pretty much nailing this from what was a long range (in mileage terms). Moderate snowfall here in Ealing as I write, topping up the significant lying snow we already have from Friday.

A rarity in London: snow on snow event.

NAE goes for 6-10mm East of a line from Hastings up through C.London to M40.

4-6mm West of that.

Happy its chucking it down the SE, had mine Friday. Anyone think this is heading Gloucestershire way? Not predicted too but radar hints at something different?
