A good inch of fresh snow in Herefordshire this morning and snowing well! Don't you just love an unscripted snow event (well it didn't look likely when I went to bed anyway!) lazy.gifclapping.gif

Edit: No sooner has I typed this and it's stopped!!! However, forecast for tonight looks good

00Z NAE looks good for us and Carol has just shown the nice white snow blobs on the forecast graphics from around 11pm tonight until 3am Weds morning - she reckons 3-6cm! Lets hope she will be right...

I dont know about tonight, or indeed tommorow, just watching the radar NOW. The bands coming up from the south are getting close, will they go any further north and west?

Nothing more here overnight, no thaw but still the temp cant drop more than a degree below freezing! See some places E of Brum got down to -4 or so, why cant it do that here? Only thing lacking now this winter.

Just had a nice snow shower. Not much, just a very light covering. Stopped now. Looks like it was at the northern end of the west country/s Wales stuff. Temp -1.5C.

Having said that, there are a couple of clear patches in the sky and the temp has just hit -1, clearly falling in the last hour before sunrise. Maybe we'll see that yellow ball today, this month must be rivalling Jan 1996 for dullness.

Nice crips day very cold, last nite dropped to -4 so all the snow is now ice, roads are very dangerous.

-5 according to the guage in the car. Beautiful day with barely a cloud in the sky. My brother reported moderate snowfall in Hereford about 30 mins ago.

Another light dusting overnight, and the temp got down as low as -4.6 just before eight this morning :)

Currently -3.7 with hazy cloud.

temp was -4c at 8am

any snow till Thursday will be fairly light in nature so not too fussed, maybe a couple of cm in southwest of the region.

however keep an eye on Friday, could be some huge totals of snow before it turns more towards sleet/rain. then thaw on Saturday/sunday

lets hope things stay on the right side of marginal
