Green blob over me, nowt falling though, same old, same old.

Serves you right, for bringing back bad Villa memories from the past! tongue.png

Righto, I'm off to watch the first hour or so of the match - I'll be back once the game is abandoned due to blizzard conditions at Villa Park......

You're further south down the Malverns aren't you, Snowmoon? I"m at the North end, nothing here yet!

No, Barbmac, I'm at the north end as well.

It's been snowing quite heavily here for a while but I think it's quite wet snow because, although it's settling readily on cars and the already lying snow from the other day, it isn't making much impression on the ruts that car wheels have taken out of the snow in the road or on any clear ground.

Despite it being widespread across southern England and south Wales now, the latest BBC forecast I've seen (7.30) shows the precip fading away quite quickly and becoming confined to the West Mids. I'm having a struggle buying that though looking at the extent of what the radar's showing now. Still, what do I know?!

Not sure how much the band will maintain its intensity but looks fairly interesting for those away from N Shrops and Mid-North Staffs.

Anything likely for Shrewsbury? smile.png

It may well reach you, looking at it's current rate of progress, as long as it doesn't stall or fizzle out.

Sunday is drove down the A41 in South Birmingham towards Warwick, as soon as i crossed the m42 into Warwickshire the roads went from treacherous to clear. Today I drove from se brum to cov down the a45. Again treacherous roads in brum. Cross the m42 and the roads where clear of slush and ice. I could only drive 20-30 mph in brum. Upto 60 mph outside brum. Joke.

The yellow patches in the NW radar image below, just to the south-west of Tewkesbury, could come to Malvern and give us what should be the heaviest period of snow so far this winter! clapping.gif

Both have us overcast throughout the night. BBC has light snow from 1pm tomorrow but nothing before then. I mean, they might still be right as it's only light stuff approaching and it might not even reach the ground.

Thanks John, so looks like the northern most band is now producing snow, it certainly has intensified since passing over warwickshire.
