It's looking good, but I did detect more of a northwards shift in the little cluster that's leaving sheffield now, so we're going to have to keep our fingers crossed over the next few hours. Could be our best chance now from this.

Well weather stations are usually quite good at picking up a depression or incoming PPN and mine currently says Heavy Rain, albeit it's snowing, so fingers crossed its got one thing right of the two

Yeah the front generally moves north but the ppn with the easterly drag defo building NWward, Green area of ppn has moved even further towards us lol.

It won't, it'll strengthen if anything as it runs into very moist air from the past few days which is already here. Main thrust of energy being sent up the eastern side, but with the main emphasis going NW, it'll inject some energy our side of the Pennines also.
