Yes I just noticed that!

Also the Tues chart suggests another band of snow moving east

Still snowing lightly here now. Seems to have stalled over London for the past couple of hours but seems it'll fizzle out soon.

Another red warning for southern wales?

Or at least amber.

just checked got 5 inches currently and not stopped yet rofl.gif

On that note, if anyone is expecting a parcel by courier tomorrow in Croydon and surrounding areas, hubby will do his best but it depends on how good yamakin's gritting has beenblum.gif also remember that even if your 4 x 4 can get up it (as he's often told) vans can't so if you live at the top of a steep hill you will have to collect it from the bottom or the depot.good.gif

Chio - the charts you posted are from the 12z run - the 18z run is currently updating and looks a little different

That would epic amounts of snow lying in the Brecon Beacons. That have a foot lying now I think - we could be looking at up to two feet by the end of the week there. Amazing.

2010 i had 3 snow events which were all good, but todays event was fantastic ,snow all day 16cm.. no thaw.. freezing up nicely outside now , my only worry now is that front moving in to kent tomorow eve night looks like being rain for me and all that will do is eat my snow,

Dont forget feb 2012 we had 9cm of snow but the following 7 days were ice days which resuled in keeping our snow in our gardens , and thats what we all want..

I would be happy now wth what ive got as long as it stuck around for 3 or 4 days and the kids can enjoy.. as theres no school tmoz

Until the nxt encounter, happy snow hunting

temp -1.2c and finally after more than 14hrs its stopped boo hoo,...

Today has been brilliant..

Theres always one, isnt there,in every street

Yes, there is always one and its usually my husband - after the frankly pitiful fall on Friday I looked out of the window only to see that he had recruited the kids as his little snow-destroying helpers... however, today even he has been carried away by the gloriousness of the event and has left it all untouched... he said to me 'You've always been obsessed with snow and I've never understood why - but I think I understand it now...'. Breakthrough!!!

Yes I have seen that and the 18Z isn't as good - to make up the 18Z GFS looks better for southern fringes Tues though!

Just put the patio light on expecting to see it stopped and the sky clear and it's still snowing after 14 hours!

Everything looks so tranquil!
