This band should hang around for a few hrs, here is the EC grab at 10pm-

And then the band that is forming behind it- that should cross us at 4am on EC guidance-

Still some snow and top-ups to come.

I already have that problem, in the scheme of things an extra 5 cm isn't going to affect how much digging ill be doing lol.

It still amazes me the difference between Washington and Durham from this kind of event. And 5cm here would be great, bring us back up to above the total this morning. And sort the slush out.

Cheers isolated, what's the yellow blob near York?

Also the dark blue must mean heavier showers?

That's the moon (clear sky)- it's the EC forecast for York :)

And yep- lighter blue (lighter precip), darker blue (heavier precip).

Looks like it's been modelled a bit further north than before, just above me - more a Tyne event I think.

I actually think it'll end up heaviest around Chester-le-street... I think it's just heading north of Durham City TBH.

Are there good chances of showers tomorrow? I heard ESE being mentioned, which, as we now know, = buggar all for here.

Good call mate you will still get some snow but looks to be strongest around chester le street area, sunderland looking good to

This is the warmest and most sleety mix there has been so far here. Its 1.5c. Unless the wind drops or the uppers cool then it going to be a good thaw here tonight.

Yep - I'm convinced streamers seem to home in on Newcastle area more than here. Looks like a frustrating night here getting some light snow while a few miles north cops it!

Heavier precip to come, colder uppers to come, wind calms slightly, more aggressive calming (oxymoron and a half) as the dawn breaks.

Reckon Consett will get some of it or too far south? Not that I should complain if we don't. Share the wealth and all that

Yes. It might as well be rain.

I really hope GP is correct and we get a GH in around 10 days time. Little chance of rain here from those as the sea warming effect is not as prominent.
