Just had a fantastic day off sledging with my daughter for 2.5 hours and just cleared all the snow off drive and car/van ready for work tomorrow!!-Bloody knackered!!

Looks like we are in for a dry 4 days with very cold nights with the horrible breakdown starting Saturday!!Just hope the Lows off NE seeboard lose some intensity,big High over Scandi gets stronger and shifts a bit further West and Jet keeps NW to SE and stays to South of UK.Wishful thinking i know but I can dream!! .Have enjoyed this cold spell and want it to go on till mid Feb!!

Temp dropped to plus 0.2 from plus 1.0 in last hour.Sky here in Petts Wood/Locksbottom was pretty clear about 1 hour ago but has clouded over now!!

we have the lightest sleet here - so light you can barely see it but I can hear it on my conservatory roof.

The tiny icicles on the end of the palm tree in my back garden still refuse to drip though.

That PV segment modelled to head in our general direction next week is a tad concerning. With a central pressure of 940mb ish, that would be pretty windy to say the least. Hopefully it is just an overblown FI job.
