I have a feeling Glos/Chelt could be in for a worryingly large dump here if that Radar is to be believed.

The amount of extra PPN still growing behind is astonishing!

( Now ive said it, We wil get nothing )

Been sleeting/snowing intermittently from 3-5pm with some heavier bursts. Now turned to snow as the temperature drops to about freezing and beginning to lie on some surfaces. Hoping for 3 hours of constant light/moderate snow and 5cm. I think it is more likely to be 2cm of very wet snow.

Pleased to report moderate snow with nice size flakes already, that was quick I thought it would be light for a bit first!

So hears to 20cm then?!

Temp dropped steadily since noon, from 3.4°C to now 1°C, DP down to 0.2°C. Had quite heavy snow for 2 hours.

Just a bit of elevation seems to be making a big difference at the moment, settling on everything, road very slushy but traffic to blame for that. Grass and cars covered. I'm forecast heavy rain for now but that is a Yeovilton forecast which is on the Levels, pretty much at sea level, whereas I'm about 60m asl.

The radar is showing much heavy echoes approaching from the south east :-)

Another one from about 20 mins ago ..

Send that Eastwards? Ahaa! Love it when people near the coast get snow when it wasn't forecast! Good luck!

Oh back to light rain now and the wind has picked up

The temp has just started to creep up to 2.1c and the rising slowly to 999.1hpa

Temp here creeped up to 1.2c now back down at 0.8c with Icy rain now, starting the form ice on the cars! Very messy!
