Real burst of heavy snow in Petersfield following initial rain about an hour ago. Moderate snow falling now, turning to light snow and sleet later. Almost blizzard like for a short while as I drove over Butser Hill.

Snow really pepping up now. Settling on some surfaces such as cars, grass etc, but not on roads/pavements as of yet.

Remember to be careful out and about tomorrow. Not sure how it is elsewhere, but the ground is still very wet, and somewhat slushy UNDER the snow, so could be treacherous tomorrow. Take care.

Sleety snow in Exeter, 2 degrees...the weather channel down graded our snow to rain but I'm trying to remain hopeful...tried to get Thursday on leave to go Dartmoor to see proper snow and sledge but can't...I doubt snow will settle here.... *sigh*

Getting heavier, but nothing amazing (yet) settling well at 70m asl.

I'll second that, went through QE park and butser and the roads were pretty bad at around 4:20 - heavy snow has turned to lighter and drier snow, ppn band not looking promising for us!
