Like Tom, my Dew point has risen in accordance with the Air Temperature. So in spite of what they suggested on the BBC N24 forecast recently, I feel it will be RAIN all the way now, for pretty much all of us. At elevation, you of course, will have longer to keep things on your side.

Currently 1.2c AT, 0.1c DP, 1006.1mb falling rapidly Baometer trend.

Floods and further deluges being the forecast for the reliable I'm afraid.

Like others have said, thankfully the radar returns aren't looking too heavy so far. This should aid a steady thaw rather than a troublesome one for now.

Its still feels bitter in that wind but its rain here now, time to wash away all the snow, rather it be gone now.

I've now worked out how to share photos, so better late than never a few pics from last Friday.

If the big heavy ppn reaches our area then I would think Evaporative cooling will have an effect on snow/rain, and current dew points etc don't mean as much as they would with lighter or moderate ppn.

Who knows??? Feb is often the coldest winter month in the south west. Although we will just have to wait and see what unfolds. Be it mild south westerlies or an Arctic blast.

Current report from Siston Common, East of Bristol:

Still feeling bitter in that strengthening wind, but the temp is on the rise 2.9°C, along with dew point on the rise 1.5°C, Cold Rain, Barometric Pressure 1001.6hpa falling rapidly, outlook: More spells of rain moving in from the west heavy at times.

I know we have lost are cold, but would still be nice if everyone, reported no matter what the weather :) thanks all.

South Today just showed rain for all south of Basingstoke.

Being 5 miles north of Basingstoke does that mean I get sleet?? I can hardly contain my excitement!

Any snow anyone gets will be short lived and will soon all turn to rain. Temps rising all the time.
