I think both bands you can see on the radar will merge together, well I hope so because the first one is a bit pathetic.

That’s what happened in Feb last year – the second band caught the first one up. The difference being this time is that colder air is already in place across the whole region.

Becoming light and intermittent with the slight dusting beginning to thaw, needs to be heavier.

0.8 here still, getting windy and very cloudy, the band looks like losing intensity and hasnt even got here yet.

Got off to a good start but it's just light and melting faster than it can accumulate, lets hope it can intensify.

I hope the second band catches up with the first and injects some energy or else we won't be getting much more than a little light snow and a wet floor!

It will be my 10 years in December too! Feel like a veteran now lol was more active in early years, but m weather interest as come back in the last few 'snowy' years...

..hope we get a decent end of show finale today. Maybe end of first interval perhaps..

BBC Forecast this morning showed light precipitation in Cumbria this morning followed by the main band at about 1-2pm for the rest of the North West, nothing to worry about yet.
