2006-07?

Anyway, a covering here and a bank of cumulonimbus to my west.

That one was better for snow here, it's been a strange winter really, cold and snow has been there but it as been a very localised affair in the NW.

If you think this is frustrating wait till the weekend when a huge snow event is being progged for the midlands and south, just missing us as normal, im officialy writing this winter of as the most frustrating winter i can remember, as it promised so much and delivered so little.

The story of this winter really, once mid Feb has been breached I lose interest as the chances of lying snow and deep cold plummet. Just watch those Greenland heights get themselves organised thereafter, just in time for spring and summer.

A covering here in Knutsford although it's melted on the roads already. We had the most awesome hail/groupel thunder and wind storm last night though leaving a cm or so of balls everywhere - looked amazing!

Unable to get out of Marple today as roads icey + layer of snow and not gritted. Good 1 1/2 " on car.Brighter but snowing again. We do seem to do well here in east Stockport with this set up. Simon

Arrived at work in Manchester - traffic quite bad, glad I turned off Oldham-Mcr Road, it was very slow - went through Failsworth, Ashton New Road, and Manccunian way wasn't too bad either. Probably because set off earlier. Keep me posted in Oldham, it's sleet/snow blizzard here in Trafford but I expect it will be worse as it get's into Oldham. That said the radar appears to be dying out behind these showers?

Very heavy again now.....almost white out with the wind.

Roads are gridlocked with wallys who have no idea how to drive in snow......muppets in 4x4s are the worst LOL.

Had torrential hail & light snow showers overnight. There's a dusting out there but it's melting quickly. Told you guys not to expect much from this watered down north westerly. The mild sector was always going to ruin things.

Besides, convection has now died a death in the Irish Sea. Snooze fest! Although them hail showers last night were brilliant accompanied by lightning.
