Preston is 3C now but 10 minutes ago it is 2C.

Don't worry, overall your temps will drop but they will fall rapidly during heavy showers and rise again between showers.

Here is the link i forgot to put up - met office Precipitation prediction, does not distinguish between precipitation types though - look at the 4 oclock - someone could get 15 - 20cm if they cop the whole streamer!!!

Strange not wet flakes on this fall, much smaller yet the intensity of the fall has left all surfaces white, even tarmac. Sign of temps getting close to zero

Good news - like i say, lets get a foothold first, idealy you want powder to get it sticking first, then you want flakes the size of golfballs and high intensity for hours to get the big falls and then back to powder with Storm force winds to get the drifts - thats in eutopian world of course!!!

I think this is superior.

But either way it is there for peeps to use if they want. You can move and zoom the map as with raintoday.

*snigger*

I was just going to question why you said that but quickly realised, my post was definately based on the 10pm met PPN chart update and nothing else!!!

while i am at it i might as well complete the set - i use the Met office radar.

Sounds good to me :) quite confident now that the falls will be snow all the way through the night now. Just a matter of how heavy the precip will be. The snow should play its hand further west too as the night draws on

it's as if there's too much data mate. it wouldn't scroll to UK let alone zoom. obviously phones have less cache memory so maybe that's why. getting heavier now out. shame it's bed soon ha.

A word of warning though - this is GUARANTEED to turn back to rain at some point even at 1000ft elevation if your in the NW, how much rain you get before it stops and how much snow cover you have left if any before any freeze tommorow night as ever will depend on elevation, Easterly extent of location and how much snow has fallen.

Snow and gale force winds now!

You got a covering yet down there crewe?

Blizzards again here. Third time I saw blizzards this winter. One I while I went to sweden, another few weeks back and then now.
