That was amazing. Snow was super heavy. The wind was howling. Real blizzard conditions. The lightening was mental. Thunder snow at its best.

Not sticking here yet but some of the biggest flakes you can imagine, i just hope we dont waste this band and can get at least a pavement covering to give us a foothold before next band.

unless these showers merge into longer spells of snow ad the temps drop off another degree or two there is little chance of a decent covering here 2nite its just not cold enough!

Just very shortlived moderate sleet showers here barely lasting a couple of minutes. Really need some prolonged and heavier precipitation.

Kirkstone Pass road is closed, at least the fells will be cloaked white again.

Hoping to wake up to a cover in the morning - will wait and see, if I hear the window rattling during the night its a good sign the precipitation is heavy, could do with the wind slightly south of west rather than north of west which tends to favour lancashire and merseyside more..
