I wonder if we'll get as much snow as Leeds, Massachusetts?

Raw day here, max temp all day 0.3c, currently -0.3c. No melt at all except where we had a bit of sun at lunchtime, so still a nice full blanket of snow. Wednesday still looking 'interesting'

Snow clung on well here still full cover on the back garden. Could do with the skies clearing to give a good sharp frost I dunno how likely that is though.

Has this been forecasted Coast or is it something out of the blue???

I suspect it's NMM having one of it's laughs.

Nothing on the met office forecast now troughs shown on the fax. Twas mentioned this morning sleet on the coast tonight but there's nothing on radar either.

I guess uppers become too warm.

I'd still expect freezing rain were that the case.

The only potential analogue i can think of would be 27th December 2010 which saw temperatures below freezing and heavy rain but that was an all rain event, not a snow to rain.

Nowt here, and it got up to a relatively mild 4.3C today. Had a train journey down south today and it turned snowier towards Sheffield, lots of snow around Birmingham, but nothing up here near Thirsk/Northallerton.

Wednesdays snow event just starting to appear within NMM range. It confirms it will be snow to start off with although precip looks moderate, so lets hope it beefs up a bit. Shame it wont stick around but I love watching snow fall so will make the most of it and go for a drive in the hills with full beam on and some atmospheric tunes! Love it clap.gif

A lovely spell of weather forecast by the GFS18z once Wednesday is done with, sunny and dry with temperatures in Leeds City Center pushing 10C (urban heat effect).

It will be nice to experience the first teens temperatures - reached 16C in Feb last year, but I recall it being quite breezy and it wasn't very sunny, either.

The high-res EC model is showing snow in Leeds from 10:00 to 22:00 Wednesday, with temperatures at freezing, and hourly precipitation values as high as 2mm, and shows it as an all-snow event, before rain arrives later on.

The dreaded term freezing rain mentioned for areas east of here this morning by Carol K. Hopefully wrong as it would be arriving in evening rush hour and would be a nightmare. Going to be difficult to decide what footwear to use if that's still on the forecast tomorrow and it's location moved. Hopefully the word will have dropped off replaced by deep snow.

A few light flurries here today.

Bitterly cold under a sheet of grey skies and a freezing breeze!

Temp 2.7C with a dew point of -7.4C.

Looks like a few hours of snow here tomorrow evening. After rush hour thankfully!

Smashing thanks mate. Tomorrow could be a repeat performance of the other week, but this time almost definitely turning to rain in the end.
