The Wet bulb (freezing temp height) is 200m for my neck of the woods until approx 9pm where it lowers to 100m. I don`t think this is good enough to cause any disruption/laying snow. I would like to be told otherwise (On the other hand I would also like to be right)

Agree, I cant be far away,im in St Neots - where are you. im currently at 3.7c

Yeah I'm in Sawtry so only 15 miles or so from you. I'm still hopeful for some snow later on tonight though, perhaps 6Pm as the Meto were saying is a little too optimistic, but snow will almost certainly at least fall tonight if the precipitation is there.

Taking the latest NAE run at face value then some areas could see

4-6 inches of snow. Surely if that is anywhere near right then the

Meto would of upped its warnings to amber at least.

As far as the ground is to wet for laying snow if temps drop to 0c

with evaporation cooling and you have heavy snow then it will settle

everywhere. Seen it many times in the past.

200m is more than sufficient for snow for WBFL's

100 - even better :)

Accumulation is another matter!
