Had very light flurries on and off here today.

Radar looks good if it can last all the way down from the wash.

Just a grain or two falling, showing in the security light a few minutes ago. Wind seems to have dropped out a bit, but it's still mind numbingly cold out there!

Cold should start to ease today as the upper air starts to get mixed out and the windchill decreases slightly.

Still cold mind you, and remaining on the cold side of average for the foreseeable, just not the bitter cold we have had of late.

A really enjoyable few days of proper winter. Biting cold with occasional very light snow showers since Friday. Had a very slight dusting yesterday and have woken up to another dusting this morning. Freezing cold at the rugby yesterday with snow and a Grand Slam in the air.

A nice dusting in Basingstoke, with persistent light snow falling - looking at the radar it seems that the precip keeps forming in an area between Basingstoke and Reading at the moment - will have to see what happens as the morning progresses :-)

Morning all, a light dusting here in Arborfield last night. Settled on cars and side roads but virtually all gone now. No precipitation at the moment but it sounds like we may get some more moving up from the south east.

After a quick glance at the early stages of the latest GFS run, it seems to be a case of “as you were†for another 24 hours or so, then a continual drying out process as HP gradually becomes more dominant as the working week progresses. The HP cell slowly attempts to re-orientate itself slightly north and westwards, resulting in a slight rise in Air Temperatures too. Just how much cloud we all have to endure is another story however.

Its great that the standing water pools in fields around here are finally shrinking - over the past couple of days especially. Hope we don't have a washout Spring!

Another day another sunless 5 day forecast.. when will this end? zzzzzzzzzzz

We may have had sub -10C uppers for a couple days but even the nights have barely got below freezing! One didn't at home, even with -3C forecasts for my nearest town and clear sky forecasts at night (when it was apparent it would be constant cloud). Mind you that keeps the theme going for this rather pathetic winter.

Am coming home to East Devon this coming weekend, was hoping we would get some kind of northerly/NW'erly flow to give clear sky and a chance of decent frosts, but even that seems to be disappearing now.

I give up on this season and it's crappy easterlies (they used to deliver clear nights and hard frosts at the same time as snow in places, but not this year) Roll on spring.

Light snow flurries here this morning, but another cold and grey one seems to be the order of the day.

I shouldn't complain as the fields are drying out nicely now, which is just what is needed. Although, like everyone, I like sunny. cold and crisp days. A little bit of sunshine just makes you feel better doesn't it, so this greyness can sod off.

The trees are really heavy with blossom around here, I am hoping it's a sign of a great spring and summer. :)
