Whiteout here.

Wind has eased a bit here but the snow hasn't. Looking a my table in the back which is sheltered there is around 10 inches on it. The Drifts are huge got some around the house that are 3 feet. They must be very big on the hills.

Coming down at a crazy rate here, up to 6 inches now. I don't think I'm going to be able to get out of our lane today.

Just spoke to my parents in Mold and they have about 6 inches too. Hard to tell the exact depth here but its piling up over 10 inches now. Lights are constantly flickering

8-10 inches of level snow already this morning after it started to stick at around 12:30 last night. The met office have my location down for 40 hours of continuous heavy snowfall as of 6 this morning - surely this must be erroneous as I have already received the current amount after 7 hours? It would be a once in a lifetime event even if half the projected ppn fell.

Only about a cm here down in the Vale. Just shows what a bit of height can do. Quite disappointing here really. Hey Ho. Maybe more to come later and tomorrow.

Over a foot os snow here, has been snowing all night, could hear it whoomping off the roof. If this were winter i would worry, as it is, i suspect main routes will be ok. Bbc weather just said it will continue as snow, then turn to rain, then back to snow later. Will post pics after i've had a cup of tea and fed wailing cat and checked on poorly husband.

Oh to be 100miles further north or a 100m higher up. As expected right on the cusp here, had some wet snow last night but turned back to rain several hours ago and washed away the small accumulations. Hills are shrouded in cloud but are probably pretty snowy. Cold rain here at the moment, 1.4c.

One of the hazards of heavy snow...one of our 40 feet high conifers has just come down with the sheer weight of snow.

Yep, saw that!

Very cruel rofl.gif

Must admit, I would be a bit disappointed if I was in the NW with 1cm of slush.

Luckily for me, I was skiing 3 weeks ago and got my snow fix then, plus I had 10cm here back in January so not too bad.

I always have the consolation prize of the hottest summer temps usually being recorded in my area smile.png

Large branch down across our lane and you're not seeing things, those are sheep.

Are you on the Padeswood side? The intensity has dropped a bit now - are you the same?
