Just posted this photo of my garden table in Mold, NE Wales, 125m as lin the NW England thread as a wind-up. This was about an hour ago. That's the last 2cm of a 30cm ruler just sticking up over the top of the snow

Just came from Nantyglo through Brynmawr and the snow is making the roads very dodgy.

17 inches of snow here on the flat surfaces (tables) outside with even deeper drifts. Incredible. (P.s. I'm aware people are prone to over exaggerating snow depths however that is the genuine amount)

I'm not surprised, looks like NE Wales has been hit the hardest of any place especially on the high ground. Those crazy NMM forecast accumulations from the other day weren't far off.

Genuinely unexpected - the totals were the stuff of fantasy but seem to have come to fruition. Mixed signals as to how intense the precip overnight and through tomorrow will be, however the final totals could be something. I'll upload a picture in a short while,

Absolutely throwing it down with snow finally, big chunky flakes and settling on all surfaces.

Well over a foot ( one sheltered point in the back where it stuck first is 15 inches) here in Chirk, and still it falls. Worryingly the lights keep flickering, so looks like we may lose power soon. In addition one or two large conifers are making some evil noises, a couple of branches have already snapped off with the weight, but one tree in particular is worrying us, and it's big...
