Hammer and nails out in the morning to fix some loose fence panels, the wind is quite something to night.

Snow pepping up here at last, is it me or does the N Kent/S Essex streamer seem to be shifting ever so slightly further north? May still be in with a chance of getting more than 0.01cm by dawn!

Any idea if us here in se26 near crystal palace might see anything? Has some mad snow earlier but nothing settled. So jealous of those who have done well! Id settle for a dusting right now!

Think we have passed the peak here in Southend. Activity looks like it is slowly decaying offshore. Been a good evening though and a nice winter hoorah!

Could be more on the way during this month if you take the models at face value tonight

THe last throws here - heavy still at 8/9 but the convergence line is slipping away NW into essex :(

Upstream theres still lots of convection but its weaker echoes-

Being sadistic id like to see the skies clear & the wind drop & temps plummet to hold an ice day tom- but thats very optimistic

We've had some fantastic heavy snow in benfleet in the last 90 mins or so. Good covering over everything - definitely at least an inch or so of snow. My friend over in wickford says they've had no more over there, just the dusting from earlier. Crazy what difference a few miles makes

I don't know if it is hope casting or that front is pushing slightly further north, though it is interesting how the streamers break around to the south of London as if it is some huge obstacle, any way still nothing here in Lee S.E. London

Night all...

"Just had a little measure up outside.

10cm in drifts

6cm pretty much standard on the grass

4cm on the Pathways

About 8cm on bins, cars etc and still it comes down unrelenting!"

Er, Paul, I've got enough settling to do tomorrow and I dont mean snow!

I shall apply a Rule 4, if your not careful and is it 1/4 odds or a 1/5.

What do you think this is, a guaranteed Snow Depth race?

Tom.

Right the answer is 7 cms, have I passed the settling course! I'll have £5 e.w. Lucky 15s coming out of my ears by tomorrow night! Pfft.

A few pics from out in the garden just now... I think we are pushing 8-10cm at the moment...

It didn't look like it was going to deliver down here for the first part of today, bit it's certainly chucking it down now, with no signs of stopping anytime soon.... the radar suggests we could be in for quite a dump more before the night is out!

I think I've just about recovered from the 6 mile drive home taking over 2 hours, especially when we get scenes like these!

Enjoy the snow all those lucky ones that have it!
