Clouding over now but it should stay dry for a while yet according to the radar

EDIT

Sunny spells and cloud now the wind seems to be increasing a bit as well still its another respectable day a big improvement from 12 months ago

Yep the heat of the day seems to be bubbling up the cloud no rain on the radar yet so it doesn't look like we'll see any storms for now

Sat out in the garden tying this stunning here after a few hours of hazy sunshine its now back to wall to wall sunshine and just a light breeze which is helping to keep it fresh just how I like it a nice dry heat and not sticky shame this doesn't look like coming back for a while now could be late May / early June before we see a repeat

What a difference 24 hours makes from the warm summer like weather of yesterday to the still mild but damp start to today

A chilly day here maximum temperature of 11 degrees, but under the rain and showers falling to 8 degrees very cool for May. After an exceptionally late start to spring growth, everything is now suddenly bursting into growth with fresh green all around. I love May but have to say the current outlook is less than inspiring and much more apt for April than May - late winter/ early spring once again seems to have stolen the decent dry conditions.

Apart from the nagging wind its been a lovely sunny day in Darlington

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is shaping up to be another sunny day thankfully we look too far north and will avoid all the heavy rain in the south

Wednesday has a 60% chance of rain with 40% and 20% for Thursday and Friday respectively for Darlington

After a dry day today tomorrow (Wednesday) looks like been a wet and windy day with some snow possible on the pennines temperatures look like getting to around 10c at best but of course the higher up you are the lower they'll be, Thursday is all change again with a dry and sunny day on the cards with lighter winds as well

Its like the April showers have arrived a month late

For once Cumbria is escaping the wind and rain currently sweeping England and Wales, alas its been a rather pleasant day here, cool yes but mostly dry apart from a sharp shower this morning. This evening was lovely and clear with a great sunset and light winds. This is generally the best time of year for the NW quarter of Britain, before the summer westerlies and grey low cloud return usually by end of June....

Wet, windy and cool here in Darlington just 5.7°C currently

Tomorrow will be different again with plenty of spring sunshine and a lighter wind making it feel warm once more

Some serious amounts of rain fell last night across the region localised flooding is a problem in some areas and standing water on parts of the a66 and a19. Looking bk on the met office radar reds n white echos just goes to show how heavy it was during the night it certaintly kept waking me up
