A high of 5.6 here today pathetic for the 5th of April, The mild air will surely break threw next week although it will no doubt make a pigs ear of it.

Looks like the north of the region is seeing some wintry weather today going by the radar down here in the south of the region its just cloudy and chilly with a light SE'ly breeze

Oh how I'd love this mornings ECM to be right

Hail and snow showers off and on for much of the day here, and one or two fairly heavy ones as well

with a max temp of 2c at 3pm this afternoon.

A stupidly cold day for April.

Much better from ECM with the high building in from the east sending the low up to Iceland out the way

ECM1-144.GIF?08-0

ECM0-144.GIF?08-0

Finally something promising in the reliable now

If we don't get any rain in Darlo during the next few days its more than possible that we could go almost a month without rainfall looking at the models tonight

Just a few hours away now from making into the 16th day without rainfall

Now well into day 16 with out rainfall it does look like rain is coming on Thursday but I don't think it will have much effect as the ground is so dry now

At the end of February the regions biggest Reservoir Kielder was 92.2% not sure what its current status is

By Sunday we could see temperatures into the teens for the region going by the latest data

A fairly warm morning here in Keswick has given way to a torrential downpour. Looks more like Summer!

Judging by Neil Bradshaw's webcam and readings it looks like it's been a pretty dreich week in South Shields, with the winds off the anomalously cool North Sea.
