A dull and wet start in Darlo with light rain this rain should die out during the early afternoon and as the afternoon progresses the cloud should start to thin and break allowing the sun to get out for a few hours before it sets

The weather could be a bit more interesting today, it looks as though some heavy downpours could break out this afternoon in the northerly airflow, hopefully with some thunder.

The forum has appeared to have changed since i've been away, your comment about thunder must have attracted me back Alza. With Summer approaching, warm days and hopefully some thunder will not be too far away, and us weather enthusiasts will have something to be excited about again :)

Plenty of cloud is bubbling up around us in Darlo but so far we've stayed sunny and dry but there is a noticeable chill in the wind today

A few big splashes of rain but the worst seems to have passed by to the west. Never mind, there were some pretty dramatic clouds to be seen this afternoon if nothing else.

Big hail shower in Aycliffe at 4.30. Could have been some thunder but the hail was so loud I wouldn't have heard it. Seems to be brightening again. Haven't seen hail like that for a long time.

Yeah just viewing it on the radar will be interesting to see what's left of it by the time it gets to us
