Trip up to Harwood to see spectacular drifts - 4 to about 15 feet, walking on 4 feet of level snow... then back to Durham to plant the broad beans in the sunshine! Perfect day... perfect weather: cold and deep snow 30-60 minutes' drive away; cool but sunny and lovely at home.

wow and wow mate those photos are fantastic,

Cheers mate! I took loads! It was awesome... best drifts and depth to walk on (4 feet) I think I've ever experienced. Road up and back was a bit dicey at times - a fair bit of drifting onto the road.

It wont be as bad as you think, I was up there today boarding and the upland rivers are very low indeed now with a lot of capacity, because of the wind a lot of the plateaus are already stripped of meaningful depths and the areas below around 1500ft are generally thin and patchy (away from the drifts) so volume wise wont be too bad, plus the packed drifts and slab wont melt quickly....

Yep there getting there here as well nature is finally catching up milder air will be sweeping in this weekend so the end is in sight now for this cold

As for tonight if we get beat (which TBH I'm expecting) it will be interesting to see what reaction the crowd give to Mogga at the end 2 managers have gone since Saturday if it wasn't for the connections he has to the club he'd had gone long ago

The funny thing is we have a good chance of nicking 6th place and an equally good chance of being relegated.....And back to the weather lol, a lovely day in Middlesbrough. Sunshine and blue skies.

Pleasant days the last two days especially in much contrast to last weeks grey slate cloudy days and what not.

Just a pity that there has been no warmth as a little bit of sun on the back with warmth is eagerly anticipated now, it's April for crying out loud!!

Here they come by the looks of it!

This cold spell looks like extending well into next week now.

Well the cold is going to come back again early next week after a quiet settled weekend thanks to a weak ridge of high pressure Monday and Tuesday will see bitterly cold east to south easterly setting up before they ease on Wednesday once the low moves right over the UK

Rukm1441.gif

Assuming it continues to move eastwards a northerly would then set up
