Heavy snow here for last 10 mins or so having been moderate beforehand for 20 mins approx - not settling though which is a shame.

Yeah looking good for us lot in essex, flakes getting bigger, snow getting heavier and that streamer just keeps on feeding more in. hopefully it will start to settle if this continues after dusk

The last few hours have been poor here weather wise. Snow getting progressively lighter and temperatures rising to peak at 1.4 with dewpoint above freezing. After waking up to a good covering this morning, there are now just patches of snow on grass, roofs, cars etc. However we now have small flakes coming down quite heavily and temperatures have started to fall quickly, AT: 1.1, DP: -0.2.

Many more hours of snow to come, with temperatures falling to below zero to allow a good covering, or so I'm hoping blum.gif

Drip. drip, drip ... the snow has stopped and little signs of snow left on surfaces now.

Elevation south of here had a bit more snow up around Warlingham, Coulsdon and Caterham - here was 'Happy Valley' south of Croydon around lunch time:

Not sure you will in your location ? We have settling snow here but its marginal with a drip drip , you have to be 100 miles north of here to see something special. Cant see Greater London getting much settling snow without height.

Yeah, that's what was indicated might happen yesterday but looks like that will not be the case now so for likes of us South of the River it looks like game Oversorry.gif

Outlook does remain cold and as snow can crop up very shortly in forecasts you just never know what can happen!!

Temp her down 1 degree with odd flurries but not settling

Moderate snow here, got caught in the start of it. Starting to lay in places. Small flakes but not snizzle at least.

It looks to me like the area of snow looks to drift slowly north - mainly to the north of the Thames/M4 over next 24 hrs before fizzling out tomorrow.

Snow starting again here, biggish flakes.
