I think it's finally stopped now and according to the radar no more to come. Slightly disappointed now - bit of post snow come down. All the excitement of the past few hours hasn't come to much again, should be used to it by now. I was hoping that as the wind turned easterly there might be a chance of more snow showers being fed in, but I think I'm probably just fantasising

Starting to settle on the pavement outside my house. I think it'll only last another 30 mins though judging by the radar.

Anyone know if we'll get any more snow later? looks to be heading North of London

Heaviest snow so far now with temp and dp -1c. Settling nicely around 8cm now. For those currently north of the Thames we need to pray for the wind to veer easterly soon. Those north of Luton / Cambridge are laughing, could snow all night !

I really hope you are right! Met office going for snow all night, but can't see it happening myself, would love to be wrong though.

Heavy snow still refusing to settle, temperature down to 0.6, going in the right direction, just incredibly slowly.

Still heavy here and roads/paths covering over again after a thaw during the lull in snowfall earlier.

I'd say we have a good 2 inches on the shed roof, cars and grass and its only really the concrete areas letting the cover down. Still very impressive for late march!

Looking at Wales and Cumbria with just a hint of envy though!!

yep.. i think its just where its snowing and the cloud base has come down so low, snow has now turned to heavy grainy type not so large flakes now, but still hammering it down

Just starting to settle on the green part of the garden again after a slow thaw throughout the day.

Apart from a brief lull for about an hour earlier, it has been snowing all day.

Current temp 0.6 with a dp of -0.4.

Deepest measurable depth at the mo' of about 3 cms, which tells me that from about 11ish this morning, it has been melting quicker than it has been accumulating.

Right a frustrating day....however just been having a good look at the charts for tonight and it looks as if the stuff in the NE is to swing back SE from about 9pm, could be some pleasant surprises in the morning, just not going to mention this to my daughter!!
