Some decent bursts of moderate snow over the last couple of hours, nice to see so late in the season.

Seen a lot of falling snow this winter, though it has mostly been light and not settled. Certainly feels like the climate is changing in this country, with hopefully some snowier winters to come.

Snow showers on and off for the last couple of hours and now the sun has made an appearance. Cor that wind just cuts right through you.

Looking out of my kitchen window the sky looks pretty dark to my NE.

This is extremely frustrating, just approaching Seven bridge out of Wales, dry as a bone, snowing at home in Poole, will probably stop the second I get home!

Just been out for a walk in it and it was brass monkeys over the exposed water meadows.

Here's the local weir. Moderate flakes, but pretty heavy in that wind.

Yeay, just started snowing here in Yelverton. It's my mums birthday tomorrow and I remember a few times when it snowed on that day.

Was also thinking back to the 80's, when I was bridesmaid on April 23rd at a wedding in Evesham. Wore summer dresses and had to walk to the church as the cars couldn't get through, Brrrr!!!

Light snow ... in Plymouth!

Well that doesn't happen very often in Plymouth, especially in April!!!

From Ian;

"Slow change to broadly milder - albeit initially unsettled - conditions now likely delayed to later next week. But it'll come eventually...!"

Snow flurries here on and off for a, few hours, pretty amazing for April, but it feels like January!

Must be a lot of evaporation going on up there, as apparently I've been under PPN for about an hour now, yet nothing has fallen!

Although, I have had a snow day today, as we had some flurries earlier!

And I have to say, that wind is bleeding freezing!!! Makes it feel like mid winter!

There is something totally odd about watching snowflakes falling at nearly 8pm with it still quite light outside!

I was thinking the same thing! Very odd but all stopped now.

Light snow started again in Plympton Plymouth, some nice radar echoes over Dartmoor at the moment, will probably be a covering up there in the morning. Looking at tonights ECM, it seems next week's warm-up is off too!

Ah, just like the non-existent snow.....always being pushed out a bit further away into the future.

Now we have a carrot of warmth being dangled in front of us! rolleyes.gif

the radar is a complete picture for April. someone take a screen shot for prosperity. Next winter and for winters many a year later when we all moan at the start of March winter is over this year will be quoted and re quoted.
