Apologies - haven't looked through the whole thread so I gather this has been answered already - with that unstable air coming up from the south, there is significant thunderstorm potential?

PPVO89.gif?31415

monday

a west to south west flow

should be quite warm again around 16 degrees

a trough looks like moving over the south east mid afternoon

with higher 546 dam air over us and 528 dam air moving in

this should create instability and set off some thunderstorms in the afternoon

Cheers John. If only this rain which is pelting down now was snow........but that's for another time. Really looking forward to some real warmth. It's way past my bedtime now. Goodnight all.

Hi Folks,

Getting married on Saturday in Sussex, and the models keep moving that warm front in a worrying fashion. I can handle increasing high level cloud, but proper warm front rain would be very disappointing. Either way, we need to plan - can anyone offer guidance???

Sorry for the unabashed desperation!

Looking at GFS and ECM, I still think it'll be alright. I'm not saying totally dry, but the temperatures should be reasonable and you should get enough 'usable' weather for outdoor trips to be worthwhile. It'll also be much more outdoor friendly than recently (unless you've been walking briskly or running etc.)

When is your trip - Monday to Friday?

Yes it sounds like there might be a few issues, after the upgrade this morning.

Quite a dross day here so far (cloudy and slightly drizzly) Hopefully it'll have brightened by tea time. :)

Temp currently 6.7°c here and climbing steadily, it was sunny ish about  an hour ago but it has now clouded over completely.

Yesterday was the warmest day of the year here so far, with a top temp of 12.8°c but feeling absolutely beautiful in the sun.

Fingers crossed for Sunday, we have our first family bbq of the year planned drinks.gif
