Washout springs to mind

Certainly was a washout here today with some minor flooding, especially around 5pm when

traffic was very slow.

A few late rays of sunshine here now and tomorrow should be much better.

Brighter sky is moving in now which is good news as that means tomorrow will be a glorious day with lots of sunshine and light winds temperatures should peak at around 20c maybe slightly higher in one or two inland spots

Today looks a decent day this high level cloud what we have now should continue to lift

Temperatures should peak at around 20c today and possibly 22c tomorrow

Another lovely summers day, just like yesterday in complete contrast to a very miserable wet Monday which felt like autumn. Temperatures are nothing special, but the air is lovely and clear. This evening just like last night has cleared out with a beautiful blue still sky - another stunning sunset in the Lake District. I don't tend to associate such evenings with August, more June with temperatures actually quite low for the time of year, we are projected to get close to around 8 degrees by dawn possibly a bit cooler.

The next few days promise very standard August fayre, with average temperatures, periods of showery light rain and decent lengthy sunny breaks.. this is easily turning into the best summer the Lakes has seen since 2006, despite the warm season starting very late this year.

It was down to 4.3C at 5am but already 16C.Definite feel of early autumn with large diurnal range.

Yeah, don't know who instead of though- Bresnan looks good, Broad is like VC, Anderson obvious and Swann obviously a spinner. I'd drop Bairstow and bring in Onions/Tremlett.

Replace with bresnan and it looks like that's what's gunna happen. Bairstow hasn't set the world on fire in this series but the lad can bat. Enjoy ya day I'm going on Monday I'm hoping it lasts that long
