lightning activity definitely on the rise over Somerset/West Dorset

My lightning detector is going mad but I don't see anything on Radar with in range.

Way to far away from me my lighting detector has a 50 miles radius and the nearest storms are at least 100 miles away. There may be some high level activity going on I am just jacking work for the day so going to jump in the car for a bit of a drive.

Large raindrops starting to fall here now. Nothing thundery yet but I wouldn't rule it out in the next few hours.

Quite a lot of sferics in the channel. Looks like the time i spent calibrating my detector has paid off - im plotting fairly close to what metoffice are reporting. 

 

Clouds have started bubbling up here. Temp is only 21degrees 61%humidity.

Slowly catching up with whats happening today! Great start to the season with thunderstorms at 9am near Salisbury! Possibly more later with the showers over the SW intensifying..
