Is it just me or is that patch in northern france starting to expand westwards and northwards according to sat24? Probably just me and my bucket of hope!

 

Not just you! Whether it survives the channel is another question :-)

those thundery cells are heading due north and will affect Penkridge, Cannock, Rugeley & Stafford within the hour.......oh, why did I move house??!

Last radar I checked they were going to miss to the west..so we will have to see...

Golf ball sized hail ground shuddering thunder reports coming from Penk...Probably Germany lol.A few flashes ooer expected, flashers nearer the Chase..

As per usual heavy stuff/any excitement going to pass 5 miles east of us, unbelievable the consistency of how this happens, no direct hits since 2008 now.

We had big rainstorm pass through about 7.30ish and it has only just moved north of Ludlow in nearly 2hours. Might have had 1 rumble, but torrential rain - about 1cm in 20-25 minutes.

at least next week looks interesting weather wise :)

 

I mean models are showing it looking quite quiet ....thats a good sign as they're probably wrong - right ? :)

you might be wrong, they may say yes, so you say no, but to lull you into a false sense of security...

 

...then again, could all be b00llocks.

 

Seems the UK wide storm shield is up and working at full strength.

Apart from quite a bit of snow, never known such a bad year for good weather tbh, I mean this is getting as bad as 2012 now, and I never thought I'd be saying this!

At least 2012 saw 30 degrees by this time last year at the end of May. Plus a repeat of the 28th June will take some going.

Nevertheless we do have all of July to go yet and August too, but so far, it has been so poor, and this plume Has got to be the most unluckiest I've witnessed yet. Met office are nothing but a joke! Diabolical forecasting this last few days.

My advice would be to listen and look at estofex. They nailed 28th June last year bang on, and they hit the nail on the head big time with this one too. Respect!

It's very rare to see any lightning strikes outside of their probability zones. Top service and as you say bang on - especially for the last three days from what I've observed and read on NW.

Seems to be dying out on our doorstep.

Irony is they developed pretty much here too - imported storm all the way from sunny Brum! At least my all singing and dancing lightning detector is working, several crackles on MW this evening proved its worth lol.Mind you who needs one nowadays?
