Yes very much so! I think our region will see some cracking storms

Radar echo is intensifying just to the north of me.  Difficult to see much though as houses are in the way.

It now shows as one strike, didn't hear any thunder though. Might consider a chase if it gets going.

Rumbling away in the distance to the south. That one over Derby has exploded into life and seems to be heading for us

Really tall cb towers to my north. It would appear the Bristol heat island has helped set off some cells moving northwards from the city. Shame I'm to the south.

It also feels a lot fresher out there now and the temperature has dropped from a high of 33.2C this afternoon to 22.9C.

Rumbles in Grantham, coming from a distance. Just hoping my new camcorder picks something up :p. Though it looks like it might be going west of town.

From what I can see on the radar as the stormy area heads north, other cells pop up before the main band and look like starting new storm areas - for example there's a little storm "banging away" over the Leicester area and another cell has popped up to the north of Derby - the same happened when they were moving up from the south earlier...

nothing quite like a good old fashioned night timed banging to quicken the pulse! Posted Image

Think that is all for here, rain radar indicating heavy downpours to the north in Oxford extending in a line up towards Banbury, the northern part of this being where the thunder is at.

Posted Image The main cell behind which was over Leicester and seemingly heading towards Derby, has now started to follow the M1 which means it'll miss us by 5 miles. Does this every time

Ergh i give up looked good earlier, got as far as Oxford & buggered off to the north once more. Either some weird topography stop storms moving across here from the west or they get to the outskirts of MK & get lost due to all the soddin roundabouts Posted Image

Netweather forecast yesterday had us with an 85% chance of storms at 9pm...and as usual absolutely nothing. Glad some people got to see some action today...think it's another blank year for us! Give up lolol!Posted Image Posted Image
