If somewhere in this threads geographical area is to get some T&L today/tonight, then I think it will be the Southampton - Portsmouth corridor, including the Isle of Wight. Big IF though.

So...just  east of me then....dammit!!

Its actually showing more of a Northerly movement than that Ben, AFAIK. So maybe I might get lucky and as AWD stated earlier, the IOW looks likely to get hammered. Posted Image

Just started hammering down here, in fact.

That would give some copious amounts of rainfall!

It seems the band of rain that is in the SW is slowly edging east . Earlier on it looked as if it would miss us, and now it's coming right in this direction. Going to be interesting to see where the worst of it hits.

Just had a lovely gust front come through, wind was very slack then bang 20knt westerly! Just starting to rain here now.

That second pulse in the channel, I guess this will pretty much follow the same track as the first just with an easterly displacement?

Exited the harbour festival at 4 o'clock after a few hours there.

Started to rain at 3.30 but 30 mins under the brolly on Queen's Square finishing off the Stowford Press was enough for us and went to Temple Meads to get the 4.30 train to Parkway.

A real shame as it was rammed and everyone was chilling and enjoying life.

A month+ of beautiful weather and the big weekend arrives for the fair city, and the rain has to spoil the party!

Yes, it's a shame thought it wouldn't start raining until around 5pm, hopefully will clear in time for the fireworks :-) Tomorrow looks alot better, more sunshine about a 50% chance of a shower, what do you guys think?

40km/h! Only had a gust of 24km/h today.

Wish we could have a nice powerfull gust front come through with 80km/h winds. Would be more interesting then plain rain.

Strike near Lymington according to the radar and Ben appears to right after all with the best of the action looking likely to skirt the SE. Please be aware though that more could develop anywhere within the heaviest bursts. One or two in the SE and one south of Milton Keynes, all within the ten last minutes. Things are kicking off for some.

I agree. Every time a poss storm approaches it gets weaker as it moves inland. Early days though. Let's see what darkness brings !
