getting a tad excited here now in Essex :)

 

already some of the pre-cursor cloud is forming storms - and thats before the main event :)

 

quite a few SFERICs just south of the Thames

The storm moving out of the Cherbourg area is looking very nice! That's currently heading from Central Southern England.At Newton Poppleford Weather, we've had 5.6 mm of rainfall today with 4.4 mm of that coming from a thunderstorm which contained 1 flash of lightning and 2 claps of thunder.

That stuff approaching Cherbourg looks to be heading due N and expanding westwards.

Oh my days, just got in from work to see a beast on the radar, does look to be extending and moving centrally maybe a touch to the east, I cant wait for this evening, I imagine it be around 8pm - 10pm for it to reach this area and I can not wait :p

A hell of a lot of sferics on the eastern edge of that storm leaving northern France. Looks to hit somewhere between IOW and Brighton first and then head further NNE.

According to the beeb tomorrow will be a day of sunshine and showers away from Scotland with the heaviest showers in the west and the best of the sunshine in the east
