Winds really picked up and it has started to rain. No thunder - but this system could get invigorated by land fall.

19mph gust from nothing 10mins ago

I hope so missed it all so far grrrrr.

As ever, the stuff on the other side of the Channel is far better than the stuff on this side!

Well the more heavy rain to the west is surviving the trip across the channel while the stuff to the east is suffering badly.

Nah it's a swarm of lost French locus.Convection fading away here annoyingly. Funny if the forecast goes tits up so that the SW gets all the action and SE zippo.

fingers crossed!

Heat and humidity is ridiculous up here today. Worst it's been since Tuesday and probably on par with that day!currently 25c, probably hotter.

Fell asleep on the sofa. Got woken up by a cool wind coming through the window. All grey and windy here now. Lovely sunny hot day is gone...

I'm pretty sure 29c was not forecast today at all ! Heathrow has just hit it now. May continue to rise further too.

This has got to mean a substantial Westward shift has taken place, as more very warm continental air has flooded in further than scheduled.

We live in hope! Might go up Billinge Hill tonight to see if I can catch any sheet lightning.

We do live in hope, I hate to be negative but  I have a feeling  it will be just moderate to heavy nightime rain for here, . you might see a rare distant flash over east way if you are very lucky,  Seen all this hype many many  times, thunder is as rare as hens teeth here now,  Its seems since following this forum as well, maybe I should stay awayPosted Image

Sky gone very eerie - lots of low level cloud been drawn in from the east into a bigger mass.

No thunder heard though/rain fallen here.

The temperature has dropped to 19.8ºC and the DP is slowly rising - now 17.6ºC. That means that the RH has risen to 86%!

The sun is already trying to break through the back of this decayed MCS. No thunder but still hopeful.

Time to watch the Athletics in London within the next hour, see how heavy the rain gets and wether it continues to intensify into the heat-island of London.

That stuff over Nantes has loads of white echoes and is moving into N. France .... Kent/Sussex bound? EDIT. Moving NNE so more like Sussex than Kent.
