whoa, looks like another storm heading for the town, looks good on radar, rain started and just picking up low thunder rumbles, no lighting yet.

I'll pick you up CC..fancy Belgium or France lol..Was a day where even a few miles made a pretty sig difference - in terms of potency and all out reduced vis, flooding, close lightning and thunder to distant rumblings and just steady rain. Noticed how a lot of storms have recently pushed through the main Mids conurbation and yet further west, again hardly a jot? Today slight exception to the rule, only just..but yet again a slight shift east gave a higher degree of seeing something more convective and electrified.

Ahhhh you're a good guy and I have no doubts that you would actually go beyond the call of duty for fellow storm chasers. It's just a shame I live so far away from other members.

The lightning detectors show lightning very near to my area, I have not heard any thunder whatsoever today, although heavy showers are pushing into my area now.

Well that passed through quickly, though nice little storm while it lasted, headed towards E London and Essex now:

Nothing all day but now some rumbles of thunder from cell to south. One sferic noted on radar. Could it be our time?

Unless am very much mistaken, I think the cold front is about to role through here...either that or it's a wave of outflow or similar. Upper to mid level clouds rolling in from a westerly direction.

Can see high level flashes to my NNW and SSW...nothing in front anymore. Might have to call it a night soon - what a great day. Starting and ending with thunderstorms :yahoo:

Now am distracted by a lovely looking anvil to the SSW but looks as though might be moving more westerly than the last cells.

Very nice storm here an hour ago, lots of lightning, very heavy rain too. Great to see, nighttime storms always the best :)

You don't see that often...low level clouds, including a stunning roll cloud, just blew over from the WSW accompanied by a blast of cool wind. Upper level clouds still tracking SSW to NNE. Must have been some form of outflow :) seems as though someone has switched off the flash bulbs, at a time convection appears to be swinging this way.... D'oh!

Scratch that - lovely blue flash due SSW....please be a repeat of earlier :D

These next batch if they hold together should come very close to here :) looks to be some decent veering winds aloft judging by the cloud motions!
