I don't know if a storm can do that... Posted Image

Anyway, I'm just waiting for this storm to be destroyed by the nearby Sheffield shield.

Lightning detectors going quiet now.

Did see a couple of stunning lightning bolts though. One lasting a good 2 seconds or so streaking across the sky!

3-4 storms since around 6pm this evening here. They went in order of appearance to strongest, 1st being the weakest with the odd rumble to lightning every 2-3 seconds during the last storm and Florida style tropical rain with flash flooding in a couple of minutes. Superb evening.

The distant lightning seems fairly active from here, dead to my south West ish, looks pretty at least!

WOW big forked lightning to the S, and sheet lightning to the west. Good stuff. Shame it's not overhead.

Same here. It does look good though, and at least we're not in the North West. It really is dire in terms of storms for them.

Been at work and just got in. The window is east facing so have been seeing some distant flashes all evening. Nowt here though as usual. Saw some nice mammatus earlier on the underside of an anvil overshoot.
