Afternoon all

Feels like the change in the weather is under way and, as if to mark it, there is more leaf fall today.

'Noon Abs,

Noticed the first change to red of some of the leaves this morning, I think we can now say ta-ta to Summer.

Yep, thought the first one on Winter was superb and it prompted me to look up more details of the location where it was filmed:

Might be going to visit it when they have an open day.

Hmmmph. When I watched last weeks Winter episode on I-Player it said it was available to view for 4 weeks, that doesn't seem to be the case though, and it has already disappeared. The official I-Player website says that programmes are only available for 7 days. Shame that as I was going to watch it again this afternoon.

Afternoon all,

Has the wind changed direction yet? Only I can hear the wind whistling and howling outside these old Victorian windows at work, which is unusual - think I've only heard it a handful of times since Winter.

Wind still N/NW down here. Tomorrow is when it really starts to get going in the East, little change in direction, but intensity cranks up:

Thanks Robin...  I thought it was changing direction from coming in from the south to the north - you wouldn't have thought I spend time on a weather website!!  Posted Image Posted Image

Hi all,

Definitely a most Autumnal feel to the weather today. As you said AS,there is a big leaf fall today. Reminds me of childhood, crunching through the frosty fallen leaves. Watch out for hedgehogs and rescue them if they're silly enough to hibernate in leaf falls Posted Image

Our fences are covered in them, there are atleast 5 or 6 large female spiders, they have a very weird pattern under their abodomens also.

Just went to get a passport photo taken as I start my new job in a few weeks, feels cooler than the last couple of days but a hooded sweatshirt sufficed.

The wind has now moved round to a north-westerly, so the change is well under way now.

already here.  Just been out for an amble to the council offices and made it back just as the band of rain arrived, now very dull and breezy (and wet), still not feeling cooler...yet.

We have spiders, don't know what sort, I saw a big black one and screamed at it very loudly but nothing happened, so I conclude they are deaf.

Think they are like "monsters inc" and are powered by screams, if you laugh at them they explode.

Flood warnings now in force for coastal areas, with flooding expected at Walcott and possible along much of the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline. If I didn't have work so early I would head down to the coast to have a look! I remember the water getting very close at Aldeburgh a few years ago, quite a sight!

Hopefully nobody get's flooded out though!
