Evening regionaires.... Cloudy and very windy here today. Even though I was expecting the drop in temps, it was still a shock to the system, after all the mild weather we have been accustom too. Seems that some parents don't watch the weather forecasts on TV. When I was on the school run this morning, numerous children were still wearing there grey school shorts.... I really felt sorry for them, and their parents looked really guilty. Mine were fine though - trousers, jumper and a coat....

Current temp 11c and we've just has a sporadic shower, in pretty much clear skies.

Well if nothing else, today has at least been more in keeping with the season and time of year.

Indeed BB. But knowing the crazy British weather, it will be hot next week 😄. Oh how I love our climate.....

Evening all :)

Only up to 12c here today and what with the gale force gusts and heavy showers it felt very autumnal!

This afternoon I decided to go up on the cliffs in nearby Capel-le-Ferne and then onto the hills overlooking Folkestone..dressed in my work clothes, hanging onto a fence on top of the Downs while holding my handheld anemometer straight up in the air trying to get a good gust reading! :D

Pics aren't great as they were taken on my phone...

Evening all,

Bright and breezy here in Somerset today......

Posted Imageimage.jpgPosted Imageimage.jpg

Posted Imageimage.jpgPosted Imageimage.jpg

.....rather glad we are not in Cromer, even so it was about the same temperature up the Mendips as it was in the caves - 11 deg c so a coat was a must today !

Thought I recognised the pics - I come from Midsomer Norton/Radstock (Gibby's spot) and Cheddar Gorge/Mendips is right next door, in west country terms anyway.

Hope the accents are alright for you; my father has always struggled to get himself understood in Kingston pubs!

Back on topic, cold start to the day although beautiful, clouding over later with handfuls of rain around that felt quite icy. Don't really mind wrapping up a bit for the dog walk tonight. MDT suggesting earlier a possible return to temps around the 60s later next week - really?

tuesday might be dry

however that low to our east is too close for comfort

ukmo at 144

Posted Image

the low to our west will more or less decide where our weather goes after

so fi at present is 144

Morning all

Wet, quite windy (northerly now) and currently 8.4c.  Hpa 1013.85 and falling.  Humidity 95%.

Plenty of leaves down in the garden today, everything soaked, it's fair to say that Autumn is here.  Will certainly be lighting the fire tonight.

Great pics of Cromer, Steve, fair to say it looks lively.  I did a double take on the last photo, showing the pier, as at first glance I thought there was a figure in a red coat standing there but I don't imagine it is.  I must have been having a 'Don't Look Now' moment!

I used to play cricket down that way in the North Somerset Leagues, being a Bristol lad (lad is not really accurate these days but I was a lad when living in Bristol so I suppose it's legit!)

Good morning all. Cracking set of photo's Steve, I love seas like that, thanks for sharing. I concur with Abs comment about the figure in the red coat on the last one, spooky haha !!

It's a calmer start to the day here with a moderate breeze and currently 9.6c, just had a recent light rain shower. I have my doubts about the gust speeds being reported on the Met Office website for both Heathrow and Northolt in the last 24 hours, and in particular overnight. They seem overcooked to me.

Have a great day folks.Posted Image

PS. I haven't seen any posts from Tom lately, guessing he is on holiday ?

Morning all.

Fingers crossed for a dry morning as I head up to the Norwich airport area for a job interview. Don't really want to get wet.
