Great sunrise this morning but fairly cold at 1.7c with a ground frost.Thousands of geese coming in just now trying to graze our emerging barley. they have stripped several  of our neighbours wheat and grass fields. Just been out scaring them off. I wonder if they can forecast a N wind  in the next few weeks and are waiting for a south wind to assist them on their migration journey to the arctic

Decent sunny day here yesterday and felt quite pleasant on the rare occasions I was outside in the sun. That led to a chilly night with a touch of frost on the grass in the north facing back garden and the remnants of what had probably been a frost on the car windscreen on the south facing driveway. Nice bright morning again but there's a sheen of high cloud currently diluting the blueness of the sky.

The models for Easter are a complete mess, from one extreme to another for Scotland. You could end up with sunny and warm or............. SNOW.Posted ImagePosted Image

Snow? SNOW?????? Only one season behind then, winter! Does this mean we'll get summer in October?

LOL Misty. Snow is just a possibility at the moment and none of the models agree with each other. Hopefully you'll get a decent summer and not have to wait until autumn for it.

Sunny now after a grey start. Temp 14c in my back garden but the strong westerly wind takes the edge off 33mph mean gusting 50mph.

Huge dust  storms off the fields have returned to the southern coastal deserts of the Moray Firth this afternoon with a very gusty west wind and currently 10c.

Daffodils on the farm road are a fantastic display this year, dry weather suiting them.post-2744-0-33197500-1397307042_thumb.jp

Some big snow scars on Ben Wyvis this spring.A reminder of winter will be visible for a long time into the summer.post-2744-0-31945600-1397307020_thumb.jp

The GFS has dumped the Easter cold spell, sunny and cool now, whatever next?

Lovely afternoon out there. It really is. Posted Image

Lol. I nearly missed the sarcasm there. Earlier it was nice here but it's very wet now...

This is where we really benefit in a westerly, it's been dry here all day, albeit a tad breezy! Wind just short of a gale force westerly, gusting over 50mph. 10c with sunny spells.

Little bit of cloud building but nothing major. Probably the best day we had in quite a while!

Beautiful morning! Chilly (overnight low of around -2c) but absolutely fantastic - cycle to work took longer than usual as I took a wee detour up round a section of the Pentlands from Colinton. View from Bonaly was stunning!

Lovely morning here too, bright and sunny but a bit of a breeze. Started off with a grass frost which was still evident in the shade at 8:30am. That's us probably had more frosts since 'spring' arrived than we had during all of the 'winter' months.

Similair to yesterday. Started clear although cloud building up a bit now but not spoilt the sunshine yet (breeze seems slightly stronger today)

Weather is better than yesterday here today albeit a bit breezier. 13.8C with virtually clear skies.

Stunning morning now to try and get a half day

<laughs> My way of making the most of today was to make sure I was out working as long as possible.  A cracking day in north-east Sutherland, I wouldn't have called it warm, possibly very mild would be a better description, with some crazy paving high cloud for light entertainment.  Spring would appear to have sprung, with millions of birds everywhere, including a bloody cuckoo <reaches for bazooka>

Has anyone seen a summer forecast that includes the phrase 'high confidence of sunshine and warmth for northern Scotland'?
