The cloud has eventually started to stream in a bit. Bright now rather than sunny but may only be a brief blip?

Well, what a truly crappy day yesterday was, topped off by a power cut for a few hours last night. Not just Skye, the whole western seaboard, the Highlands and the Northern Isles too. Thankfully now restored, and we awoke to torrential rain which quickly blew through and now we have a blustery day. Tuesday was a cracker though, here's some pics from my work just to prove it doesn't rain in Skye all the time!

How is the weather looking in Scotland for the Easter holiday? London and the south east are going to get heavy rain and strong winds on Easter Sunday with top temps of 9c.http:////d321955.r.worldssl.net/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/sad.pnghttp:////d321955.r.worldssl.net/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/cold.gif http:////d321955.r.worldssl.net/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/cold.gif http:////d321955.r.worldssl.net/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/cold.gif http:////d321955.r.worldssl.net/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/cold.gif http:////d321955.r.worldssl.net/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/cold.gif  Hopefully you will fair better!

Sleet and hail this morning, sheltered indoors from that lot! At least there was some good sunshine in between but both sun and showers seem to be dwindling now.

Got dark rather suddenly last night at about 8:30...

Started slow today but eventually brightened up and it's the most glorious evening out there

A superb cloudless evening with a chilly night to follow. It's been a fairly decent spell of spring weather after some pretty dull weather a few weeks ago and the good news is there is more good weather to come going into the Easter.

Is the Sun supposed to be this strong? Its around 13C and it feels a lot warmer than that, and I think I've got sunburn (or prickly heat) after just 30mins out cutting the grass.

yes. Max here of 13 C also. Three gardens nearby had the sunbeds and sunbathers out. It could only be Scotland!

Min this morning was 1C with a grass frost.

Yes Met Office had a warning out for sunburn at June levels a couple of days ago. May be wrong and I stand to be corrected but ozone hole directly over us and u v levels very high so hats on and working outside in the evening and paperwork around midday to avoid the worst sunburn.

13.5 hours of sunshine at Leuchars yesterday and clear blue skies again this morning. Won't be as warm here with the wind in the east but if it stays sunny I won't be complaining. Tomorrow looks like a different story.

10c, bright sunshine.

The sun is still shining brightly but it's chilly out there, just 9c in a brisk SEly breeze. 17c currently in Glasgow, Aviemore and Skye so a different story away from the east coast.

Early mist and low cloud has cleared - which is a pleasant surprise, thought it might linger all day today. 10c under sunny skies.

Lovely evening here with what seems to be a bush fire getting to grips with itself. Its grown considerably in the last 10mins.

Spent the weekend (Fri-Sun) in Braemar and what stunning weather we had! Friday was absolutely cloud free, calm and warm enough that walking around in a t-shirt was pleasant. On Saturday there was a bit of high cloud around and a cool breeze so it required a bit more than a single layer of clothing. Sunday started with an early frost but was back to Friday's wall-to-wall blue skies and warm sun.

There's still some pretty substantial patches of snow around on the hills. I'll try to post a few pictures later if I get the chance.

A day of contrasts started off at 5c with sea fog here and then  took Aurora Storm to the train at Aviemore at lunch time where there was strong sun and a temperature on the car read out of 18c. Fog burnt off here in the early afternoon.

Still a bit of snow on the Cairngormspost-2744-0-35093300-1398099438_thumb.jp
