What an awful day here. Moderate but persistant rainfall, not a glimmer of sunshine and feeling pretty chilly. I'm hoping for an improvement tomorrow.

Ditto here, hardly surprising as we are not that far apart as the crow flies!  Max has been 13.2°C, but felt much less.

I'm reminded how time flies. It must be 50 years since I was last in the Ferry boat Inn. :shok:

Hehe. Great pub/restaurant there today. Very modern, clean and stunning views. The Helford Passage was one of the most tranquil places I have ever been to.

Misty and quite cold last night..temp was 4.6c at 2am.

Now it's another grey start to the day, becoming a familiar and unwelcome sight this is!

Sun trying to break through now after overnight rain.

Everything has had a good soaking over the last 2 days so it looks like the lawn will remain uncut.

Here is a few photos from my adventures this week across our stunning part of the world down here in West/South Cornwall.  :D

Lovely photos.

I have spent many many trips to Helford/Falmouth/Lizard and St Ives; relaxing, beaching, golfing, boat trips and walking.

Beautiful part of our world.

Lovely sunny day here today, but only 14c.

Stayed dry here yesterday, the rain passed us nicely, but came close as I heard they had quite a bit just north of us.

Yep...the novelty has well and truly worn off now. Seen enough heavy rain already these past couple of days. Enough to start fields waterlogging again. Unless we have anything like a dryish summer, flooding could very quickly become an issue again this autumn.

Opposite here, tomorrow looks a fair bit better.

Today looks a bit damp but with the remnants of the front fragmenting, and there is a bit of blue sky looking towards the South East.

It really did, the lack of sunshine did that I suppose. It really felt like the temperature remained in single figures all day.

Today is a much better start, granted there is rather a lot of cloud about, but some sunny spells too. And it's dry. 15C currently, and it feels vastly warmer than yesterday :)

Some cracking charts for T-storm lovers...ok FI territory into the beginning of June. Interesting to see if we nail anything around the 8th or 9th of next month.

I saw that! Looks good at least I'll be at home most of the time!

Seems to be some sort of sea driven convergence here in west Cornwall today driving a stationary line of heavy showers. Already had some fairly heavy rain. Dry currently but looks like wet for the rest of the day. Maybe a chance of a rumble or two?

Was hoping after the dregs of this weather front had shifted north it would brighten up from the South but seems to be an explosion of cloud thus continuing the murky skies.

Here's hoping the signs for settled sunnier skies for the end of the week keep upgrading.

Yup got it now CH.Thunder, lightning, heavy rain and blustery winds.Just looking at radar the worst has just passed now,as you said short and sharp.Looks like a convective band with T+L has developed in the last hour or so,now stretching ne from around Worcester through Brum and into Staffs and Leics.moving north west at the moment.

I was out having a fag in the back garden of the pub when this passed... I didn't hear a single bit of thunder - just rain. Am gutted. :/
