Is it actually making progress Westwards but decaying as it does so while constantly being fed by the North Sea onto the nearest areas to the East coast? If you review the radar from the whole day it seems that way and the further West it gets the rain dies out, the accumulation facility on the Net Weather shows this quite well.

Yes sure seems that way Andy, still nothing here yet..

Well, what an 'orrible little day that was. It's supposed to be the end of May, but in reality it felt more like mid-October.

Fingers crossed for some warmer conditions by the weekend.

Unlike the rest of you, a GLORIOUS day here, spending the day on the Lizard. Wall to wall hot sunshine with just a little high cloud keeping at bay.

Likewise Blizzards beautiful day on the Lizard. We're in Coverack for the half term week. Could not get over the perfect blue sky and hot sunshine today when others to our east have had to endure such rubbish. Will we get any more sunshine this week?

Light rain started here within an hour ago. I hate light rain, heavy rain is good and no rain is good but not light rain, that's just well...boring.

What happened again? The forecasts I saw showed it dry today and wet tomorrow?! Even a Shafernaker forecast I saw at 1am-ish said the same. It seems to be a reoccurring theme!

Currently 12°C and wet. :\

Getting some deja-vu from the models as we head into summer. Northern blocking, a southerly jetstream, low pressure magnetically attracted to this island - sounds familiar the past few summers?

Ok - nobody knows what the weather is going to do over the next 3 months but the repeating theme and the tendency for things to get stuck in a rut for long periods makes you wonder.

I have noticed. They don't want to take risks anymore. It's so boring.

This summer's forecast seems different to what you said. Quite a dry and sunny summer, if all goes to plan.

Hmm its only 30 minutes interval though. Netweather Free is 15 minutes and Extra 5 minutes, which is invaluable for plotting the development of showers and storm cells.

Just shows you how useless GFS 2M temp charts are for a few days out, was going to be 16C/17C today just a few days ago but now GFS is saying 12C which is correct, 12C in very late May is pathetic for a mild easterly, arctic northerlies deliver higher temps, looks like more easterly crap later next week on GFS 12Z just more humid and heavier rain, sick of easterlies to be honest.
