Murky here, not as cold as it has been in the last couple of days, very little wind and actually NOT raining for a change.

Hopefully it'll change later in the day as we're off to the Proms at Leeds Castle tonight.  It'll be the first time I've been out properly since becoming seriously ill a few months ago so really hoping it's not ruined.

Fine and warm in the east? Which "east" would that be then? It's just about the worst summer ever here, how anything is supposed to ripen is beyond me. Dull, grey, drizzly, not particularly warm or humid. I think I've sat outside ONCE after 7pm this year. And don't get me started on the damage done by the gale force winds mid-week......

With you there NS.

The winds mid week were strange, a Northerly that wasn't cold.  But yesterday was awful, the top half of the church tower in Cromer was wreathed in mist, misty drizzle all day.  Here's hoping for something better today

Indeed it did and rather heavy rain too at that, I was trying to drive to work at the time and the road conditions and visability were appaling at the time.

'Isolated' thunderstorms. That'll be why! You might have a sunny day, while others may see storms! :D

yup, as I said before you can see variant weather quite close in locality and that does seem the case the last few days and for the next few too.

Warm, dry and sunny here still, just cut the moss (used to be a lawn) and looking at the weeding now.

The public should be aware that localised incorrect forecasts could lead to temporary frustration on netweather

If the line of showers/cells does develop, it won't be for a few hours yet.

The Met Office warning isn't actually in effect until 4pm.

Ooops we're about to leave sunny Suffolk for Hyde Park to see Neil Young.

Going to pack my rain poncho. Could anyone advise when/if the t/storms are going to Hyde Park hit time-wise? I'll stay away from the trees

26.4oC here in the shed now, oh I can see tonight is going to be a bad night if you want sleep (or anything energetic for that matter), might move into the fridge.

Maybe between 5 and 8pm? The strorms will be scattered so it'll be hit and missAlso, the MetO warning is at the lowest risk on their chart, so again, they're acknowledging the chance that storms may be few and far between. Edited by saint
