It's nice to see it is snowing I must admit but just annoying as no sign of laying yet hopefully that changes tonight so we can have one last snow covering hurrah!

I don't think dropbox has the links to get images onto forums which is why I always use image upload

You can use dropbox but only the public folder works reliably.
Anything in that folder right click and copy the public URL.
postimage.org is my favourite for a quick free host - but you can upload direct to the forum here anyway.

About an hour ago I was driving back to Newcastle from Blyth. The snow was very heavy in a strong wind between Blyth and Annitsford.

Dry in Newcastle at first but then light snow started falling which has since stopped.

No covering obviously! But still nice to see all the same.

Been bone dry here, snow just to the south and north.

Two gaps over the pennines which the A66 and A69 follow have allowed the showers to get over to the east, I'm in the middle!

Lots of sunshine this morning but its a cold wind still

Temps should start and rise from tomorrow

Tomorrow - 8c to 9c

Thursday - 9c to 10c

Friday - 9c to 10c

Saturday 13c to 14c

Sunday 12c to 14c

Then next week it looks like temps will be in a range from high single figure to low double figures

Very heavy snow shower at minute. Everything white! Wierd as not much showing on radar

Same here, but quite depressing seeing the blue sky and dreaded sun at the same time as the showers are falling. Seems a bit of a waste. Hopefully we can get something once the sun goes down to make it worth while but cant see it getting over the Pennines in the slacker winds. Make the most of it though as could be the last of the season.

Can the last poster make sure to turn the lights off :(

well another heavy snow shower here this morning which gave a good covering at about 6.30am, most has melted now apart from some well shaded areas.

actually seen more snow in the past few days here than most of this winter put together. As for temperatures this weekend into next, i really cant see anything very mild for us up here, met and beeb not predicting much above 11 - 12c and thats only this weekend then cooling off to average.

However if we get plenty sun then the east of pennines may see some very pleasant temps... we shall see

It does feel as though tonight is the last chance saloon.

It would be nice if a trough could make it across  and give the whole region a covering of snow.

Unfortunately just rain here now. It's certainly been an interesting Winter and I have been lucky enough to to have about ten days of snow falling and about the same for lying snow. It would seem that the North West has been the sweet spot this year with never ending N,Westerlies with a surprise Southerly and NEasterley.

Cant see much interest ahead but fingers crossed for a decent Spring and Summer before the hunt begins again.

Edit: Winds are veering to a more North Westerley so might catch something for the late Dog Walk.

bright and breezy day today, still chilly in that pesky wind though. seen a few daffs today, sign of spring :)

solar eclipse on 20th so lets hope high pressure stays near by to give some clear skies for a good view.

looking rather cloudy over next few days and still breezy, but no frost and temps into double figures in brighter spells

This wind starting to annoy me now, seems every day for a while now been quite windy which of course makes it feel cooler than it actually is... therefor these warm days predicted aren't noticeable up in the northeast, especially with all this cloud around.

Temps look like cooling off in to next week with no sign of temps reaching double figures IMBY that is. Also could we be in for one last cold spell mid month? some signs emerging in models.

The south have got temps in the mid teens currently few 16 degrees popping up now.
