Some nice lenticular clouds about this afternoon.
It's still 12C and peaked at 13.6C - first day this year comfortable enough outside without coat on!

Plenty of sunshine developing now the wind is lighter than yesterday as well so we could have a decent day before the rain sweeps in tomorrow

At the moment the rain tomorrow looks little more than a squally shower, moves through very fast.

The beeb having it lasting around 4 to 5 hours before clearing around mid afternoon, Tuesday looks like a very pleasant day with ample sunshine and highs around 10c

'Rain' seems to be through more or less already, and only been a brief spotty spell here - howling wind and only just got above 5C though.
There are some more showery looking patches way out west might be more significant if they get here.

The temperature has struggled upto 6.1c a cold windy day with some rain though that has stopped now.

All change tomorrow with sunshine likely from dawn to dusk and highs around 10c making it feel much more pleasant

what a difference a day makes... mostly sunny all day with temps nearly reaching 10.c so felt pleasant in the sun when sheltered from the breeze. chilly night ahead with a touch of frost

We're down to 1.8C already so seems certain to go well below freezing.
It was 9.3C mid-afternoon but felt warmer.

Clear skies overnight lead to a slight frost, dry and sunny now but still cold with cloud and rain arriving by this afternoon

It was -3.3 here, then quite windy by dawn so felt bitter.
Another rain event amounted to nothing mid-afternoon with just 0.2mm.
Not convinced we will see anything much overnight Thursday/Friday, then a dry cool and cloudy easterly spell for several days.

I wonder how far east that rain will get tonight, I suspect it will be very patchy east of the A1 and quite unlikely to see any on the east coast.
Quite an unusual scenario for a front to stall then go backwards.

Quite a neat and tidy band of rain and already some minor flooding over in Cumbria.

Hope this high pressure moving in at the weekend doesn't bring that cold drizzle with it but i fear it will.

rain slowly approaching here now, wet night ahead and as the air turns colder from the east I expect it to turn wintry here and on high ground.

Metoffice app showing sleet / snow for my area tomorrow morning as the rain pushes back west then again tomorrow night into Saturday.

raw cold feel to things over weekend into next week, so much for spring warmth and high pressure sitting over uk many people were banging on about!

I'm with you Cloud, hope I'm wrong but I suspect once the wind starts coming off the sea it will be cold and damp here, even wet at times. See it almost every spring and hate it!!

Been very wet here over recent hours, heavy rain. Not often a front stalls over the Pennines and then heads back west.. We've had a few occasions and in winter they often deliver snow, coincidentally stalling fronts with undercutting cold air have occurred on 12 March both in 1996 and 2006.. must be this time of year!

Wow, bit of surprise to wake up to couple of cm of lying snow and still snowing lightly.

What happened to the 16 days of a very mild Spring someone mentioned not long ago.

Radar showing a sleety mix but is defo still snow up here.

Looking at the radar it looks like the trapped front has stalled and is now moving back west so probably will get more sleety as it moves west but difficult to say due to the odd entrapment between the two air masses.

Continuous heavy rain last night and 8C, drizzle this morning and 3C as the wind changes direction. Yet again, the couple hundred metres height gain is vital to snow/rain and being down on low ground I miss out again!

The trans-pennine routes must have been tricky.

Evidence of snow down to around 350 metres this morning with quite a cover on ground above this level. Kirkstone Pass was very tricky, however, the snow was very wet and quickly cleared. Still pleasing to see.
