That was an amazing video, thank you for sharing it. Was that snow forecast well?

I wasn't into weather much then, and I seem to remember people slating the met office for not forecasting it.

I wasn't into weather much then, and I seem to remember people slating the met office for not forecasting it.

Most of the snow came from streamers coming in from the Irish Sea rather than from the front.

This forecast from lunchtime before that night.

Left my house at 10am car was saying -1. Had to de ice it. Drove into Manchester and the temperature climbed up to 2oc. No visible frost anywhere. Came home at mid day. Car was saying 7oc drove to gee cross, hyde and the temp dropped to 5oc. Just got in from a walk with the dogs and still quite a lot of frost about in shaded areas. Love the crunch of the grass!

Fog clears to a beautiful sunny day

A cold day, maxed out at 3.1 degrees very briefly after a min of -3 degrees. Temp has dropped 3 degrees in last 2 hours currently sitting at -1.8 degrees, however, can't see it falling much more with cloud ready to invade through the night and winds picking up a little.

 

So a mean of 0 degrees, under conditions not especially cold..

Temperatures has just dropped below freezing point here and it has suddenly become quite foggy.

Even though the sunshine of today tended to melt any frost in it's way, the front of the house which faces NE remained white all day and the cars are iced over already.

Well it wasfreezing,white over and really frosty earlier, now its all thawed out and warming up somewhat with cloud cover, probablyrain soon
