I would love to be under that heavy shower over the Lake District, some bright reds on the radar.

Reports of heavy snow in the Carlisle area settling right down to sea level, just light snow here but it is settling.

Could be an interesting night.

There is a whole line of showers heading your way all the way from north Wales.

A slight dusting! Need more showers, hopefully that trough over Ireland will make it over here!!

Radar showing a few more showers crossing the Irish Sea and coming into the region but still dry here.

Well thats another point of the compass which apparently I can't get precipitation from although no doubt the mountains in North Wales won't prove such a barrier next time mild rainy conditions decide to come from the W/SW.

Irish sea has woken up. These are convective showers. They havent originated elsewhere.

Just had a brief shower of hail, according to the radar we're just on the edge of the snow band later this evening and overnight. We shall see but with a temp of 3.5c  and dew points just at 0c I'm not rushing to Bet Fred.
