Just walked round to my sisters and it had just started sleeting. It is cold but maybe not cold enough for snow. Apparently chucking it down in Crosby

-1c dew -2c clear above, showers moving up from sw clouds lit up towards manchester.... Not expecting much tonight, those that do enjoy!

Heavy hail/snow pellet shower about half hour ago, winds really picked up, it has left a slight cover, but we need something much more longer lasting and intense if we are to see a cm or two. Plenty of time - I'll be surprised if come morning we don't have at least a cm or two. Temp 0 degrees, no issue with temps or dewpoints, anything that falls will settle.

Soon as the temp got to 1.9c it's snowing properly ground is wet though

Hard to believe that it's only 1.5c with a strong westerly breeze right off the Irish Sea!! DP -3c, Shame it won't last!

Just back from walking the dog in snow.

It didn't' do a lot but still covered which is an improvement on this afternoon and last Saturdays feeble attempt.

Hopefully more overnight and short lived winter scenes again in the morning.
